Teaching with the Clinician Educator Milestones

Want to explore medical teaching, coaching, learning environments, and curricula through best-practices from the field’s leading professional associations? This interactive workshop introduces the Clinician Educator Milestones developed by the ACGME, ACCME, AAMC, and AACOM. Completing this introductory workshop allows Departments and Programs to request additional professional development covering deeper dives on topics including:

  • Professionalism in the Clinical Learning Environment
  • Curriculum Design & Evaluation
  • The Science of Learning & Medical Education Scholarship 

Direct Observation and Giving Effective Feedback

Ready to take your program’s assessment skills to the next level? This hands-on workshop can be completed in as little as 2 hours and is adapted from the ACGME’s Improving Assessment Using Direct Observation Toolkit.

 

Generative AI Ethics in Medical Education

Artificial Intelligence technologies are evolving rapidly, and so are the potentials for misuse in medical training. Sign up for this interactive 1.5-hour workshop to explore ethical lenses for considering AI usage in medical education. See real world applications of these technologies and engage in case-based learning.

In-Person:
Available at member institution sites in Michigan. Travel is not included for in-person, on-demand workshops for members.

Virtual:
Accessible everywhere via secure Zoom sessions.

Scheduling:
Sessions can be arranged at the convenience of individual programs or departments (minimum of 4 participants).
Requests should be submitted 4–6 weeks in advance.
