This page is meant to provide you with additional GMEA membership information and member policies for the 2025-2026 academic membership year.
To enable GME Alliance staff to track attendance and adequately prepare for workshops, conferences, and other activities, we would like to remind you that all residents, faculty, and coordinators must register for GME Alliance events. This is especially important for in-person activities. The various GME Alliance Specialties and Core Services have different processes and timelines for event registration, but be sure your residents and employees are registered for the events they are attending per their GME Alliance Specialist and Conference Manager’s protocol.
To enable GME Alliance staff to prepare appropriately for in-person workshops, conferences, and other professional development activities, please note the following guidelines when canceling your registration for an in-person event:
If a cancellation notification is NOT received from a non-member registrant/hospital (per the guidelines above) and the participant does not attend the event, the registration fee will be forfeited.
If a cancellation notification is NOT received from a member registrant/hospital (per the guidelines above) and the participant does not attend the event, the hospital will be invoiced $50 per registered attendee that did not show. This fee will be charged for all in-person events, whether there was an event-specific registration fee or not.
At the request of the registrant/hospital, paid registrations can be refunded for events (workshops, conferences, and other professional development activities) under the following conditions:
