Core Faculty Orientation

Programs of the GME Alliance have benefits exclusively available to Core Teaching Faculty

The member portal will be intermittently down May 15- 30th as we transition processes with the new website. Updates will be made to the instructions on how to create a member portal account for new residents.

Onboarding Instructions

We are excited to have you join the GME Alliance! Please read through this entire orientation page to ensure you are fully onboarded and gain access to all of your benefits as a new member of the GME Alliance. Please follow all of the onboarding instructions located below, and explore our website and Member Portal after completing onboarding.

1. Create a Member Portal Account

By creating an account, members will gain access to all resources available within this website. It may take up to 2 days for your login to be activated while we verify your credentials with your institution. Once active, these credentials will be required to access:

  • Member Portal

Please save your username and password to gain access in the future.

2. Create a CME Tracker Account

Create a CME Tracker account following the instructions below. It is important to create an account using the instructions as attendance is reported based on the credentials provided in your account. Failure to follow these instructions will result in difficulty verifying your attendance and/or it not being sent to your program correctly. Creating an account provides ability to:

  • Register for events (full members only)
  • Text-in to verify your attendance for all events
  • Access certificates for all events and training completed through GME Alliance

This account will remain active throughout your residency or fellowship training and beyond; you will never lose access to your certificates of completion. It is important to keep your CME Tracker information updated.

3. Apply for Adjunct Clinical Faculty Appointment

As a member of the GME Alliance, you are eligible to apply for an Adjunct Clinical Faculty Appointment with Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. The clinical faculty application form can be found via the application link below. Be sure that all pertinent information is included on the application form and submit via email with an updated CV/Resume to com.clinical.faculty@msu.edu

Note: Approved appointments are active for up to 3 years. The “renewal” process is a separate action, you will be contacted in late winter/early spring to renew. Turnaround time for initial applications is approximately 2 weeks, decisions will be sent via email.
