Course Testimonials

See testimonials from participants in the various Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine courses offered by the GME Alliance!

General Series

"Nothing compares to the MSU CME experience. The wealth of knowledge of the instructors, their ongoing interest in learning as well as their desire to educate others has been invaluable to my clinical practice. As a result, I have skills that set me apart from most of my colleagues."

Exam being given on an exam table

"I can’t say enough about MSU COM Manual series courses. They have been my bread and butter for continuing education, as they have been exceptionally thorough and detailed. The goal of every class comes back to the true cause of dysfunction and connection to the whole body and spine. Treatment approach is practical and useful, which translates to the clinic immediately with better comprehensive care. I’m a PT working in an OP chronic pain setting seeing a clinically complex caseload most of my day."

"I'm a primary care nurse practitioner and prior to the courses, did not feel equipped to thoroughly address musculoskeletal complaints. After a few courses, I feel much more comfortable with assessing, diagnosing, and addressing somatic dysfunctions. Not only that, I have hands-on treatments that I can apply right away for my patients. It's imperative that every provider who addresses musculoskeletal complaints need these tools! The high-quality teaching and strong organization at the MSUCOM make this a standout program!"

Attendees watch an example of an exam around an exam table

"As both a PT and a patient, I swear by these techniques. MSU COM’s manual medicine courses are clear, practical, and immediately impactful for my patients and for me personally."

Extremities Course

"The extremities course is a great combination of exercise prescription, muscle energy, myofascial and articulatory classes. It is well structured and informative."

Cranial Course

Cranial course exam given on exam table

"This cranial course is very organized and breaks down cranial concepts and techniques in an easy to understand and use way. I feel comfortable treating patients with cranial technique right after the course. Would highly recommend!"

Muscle Energy Course

"The MET Part 1 course is very rich in essential knowledge of this assessment and treatment technique. After taking it, I have a lot more confidence in my skills and learnt a lot from the exceptional instructors Lisa and Carl. Their wealth of knowledge and experience are the key that unlocks the potential for improving your skills and helping your patients get better. I would highly recommend this course.

Pediatric Manual Medicine Course

"I’m very glad I took this course. The techniques I learned were well taught and I was immediately able to apply what I learned in my practice. The instructors were top of the line. I’m grateful they have dedicated their time to making this available. A very valuable resource. Thank you!"

Principles of Manual Medicine Course

Attendees watching exam demonstration

"What an extraordinary course and group of teachers to help connect us (or reconnect us) to the art of assessing and treating with our hands. The course and structure were excellent, and in the weeks since I’ve taken the course, I’ve been able to implement what I’ve learned into my practice several times."
